The Tadayuki Tsujita (T2) group in the Biochemistry Laboratory investigates the molecular mechanisms of environmental stress-sensing transcription factors, including NRF1, NRF2, and HIF, using cultured cells and genetically modified fish and mice. We are also establishing novel screening systems to identify chemical and natural compounds that modulate these stress-recognition pathways — work with potential applications in functional foods and drug discovery.

Faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates all work together energetically — and hopefully enjoy themselves along the way! Anyone interested is welcome to visit the lab anytime. Let's unravel the mysteries of life together!

2026-08-10Mr. Suetsugu has been selected as a TOBITATE! Study Abroad Japan scholarship recipient and will study at The Ohio State University for six months. Have a great time!
2026-08-07Dinadi's Master's thesis defense was held. She presented her research results brilliantly — well done! Afterward, we celebrated with a party for her thesis defense, the biochemistry lab experiments, and a farewell BBQ for Mr. Suetsugu ahead of his study abroad!
